I washed my daughter's shirt, not knowing there was a sticker from the doctors office still stuck to the front. Now the stickers is gone but a big gooey, sticky, stain is in it's place! Regular stain spray doesn't work. Can I get it out or is the shirt ruined?
Now let's get rid of that! Pretreat the WD-40 marks with a dishwashing liquid like Dawn and give it a good scrub and a few rinses in the sink. You might need to lather it up a few times depending on how much spray you used but eventually it should wash out. Pretreat the spot once more with your laundry detergent (I prefer Tide) and wash it with the rest of the laundry. It should be gone!
WD-40 also works on walls and floors to get off stickers and crayon marks and skittles that have been stepped on and flattened onto the wood floor, but in place of the dishwashing liquid to get out the WD-40, rinse off the spray with a household cleaner like Fantastic.
